1.6-2.1 US gallons of drinkable fresh water every hour — up to 192 litres a day in ideal conditions.
Ultra- and microfiltration remove parasites, pathogens, suspended solids and microplastics.
A simple hand lever builds 60 bar of pressure. No batteries, no electricity, no fuel required.
Output below 1,000 TDS, meeting WHO maximum contaminant levels for safe drinking water.
Engineered to last with no extra parts to lose. Easy to operate, clean and store away.
Anyone can operate it. Clear pictorial guidance makes QuenchSea ready for emergency use.
Read the instruction manualFour engineered stages turn raw seawater into safe drinking water — powered entirely by your hand.
A unique hydraulic system builds pressure to 60 bar (6,000 kPa) to drive water through the membrane.
A triple pre-filtration stage removes suspended solids, sediment, parasites and microplastics — protecting the membrane.
An advanced industrial RO membrane demineralises seawater under 55–60 bar of pressure.
A lever is all the energy source you need — an energy recovery device reuses pressure to cut the effort. No outside power.
QuenchSea uses a state-of-the-art industrial reverse osmosis membrane to remove salts, bacteria, parasites and microplastics. Seawater molecules are forced through a semipermeable membrane under high pressure, leaving contaminants behind — and clean, drinkable water flowing out.
The complete handheld kit — hydraulic pump, triple pre-filtration and reverse osmosis membrane. Everything you need to turn the sea into safe drinking water.
Advanced reverse osmosis membrane, seawater only. Capacity 8 L / 2 gal per hour. Includes 2 × QuenchSea RO Membranes (SW1708).
Compatible with QuenchSea 3.0 only.
0.01-micron hollow-fiber ultrafiltration plus microfiltration removes suspended solids, pathogens, parasites and microplastics. An antibacterial activated-carbon fiber filter keeps the water's taste palatable and odour pleasant. Includes 2 × QuenchSea Pre-filters.
Test your overall water purity in ppm before and after using QuenchSea — anything below 1,000 ppm is drinkable. Also measures seawater salinity levels.

No. QuenchSea 3.0 is manually operated and does not require a battery, electricity, solar panel or fuel. Fresh water is produced by hand-pumping seawater through the reverse osmosis system.
QuenchSea 3.0 is designed as a durable, reusable device. The main unit can last for years if properly cleaned, flushed, stored and maintained. The consumable parts, such as the pre-filters and reverse osmosis membranes, will need to be replaced over time depending on usage, seawater quality and storage conditions.
Reverse osmosis seawater membranes are very thin, semi-permeable filters used to turn seawater into fresh water. They allow water molecules to pass through while blocking most dissolved salt, minerals, bacteria and other impurities. In QuenchSea, hand pressure pushes seawater through the membrane, separating fresh drinking water from the concentrated salty brine.
Yes. QuenchSea 3.0 includes a pre-filtration system designed to remove larger particles, sediment, sand and other suspended matter before the seawater reaches the reverse osmosis membrane. This helps protect the membrane and improves the overall life and performance of the unit.
QuenchSea 3.0 is designed to produce approximately 6–8 litres of fresh water per hour, depending on seawater salinity, water temperature, filter condition and pumping speed.
Yes, QuenchSea can be used with freshwater sources, but it is primarily designed for seawater desalination. For freshwater it may be more advanced than necessary, because reverse osmosis is a high-pressure filtration process. QuenchSea should not be used with water contaminated by chemicals, fuel, oil, pesticides or industrial waste.
QuenchSea 3.0 is a portable manual seawater desalination device designed to produce fresh drinking water from seawater in emergency, marine, survival, humanitarian and off-grid situations.
Yes. QuenchSea is designed for situations where access to drinking water is limited, including liferafts, boats, coastal emergencies, disaster response and survival kits.
Yes. QuenchSea uses seawater reverse osmosis membranes to remove the majority of dissolved salts from seawater, producing fresh water suitable for drinking when used correctly.
Reverse osmosis membranes can block most bacteria and many other microorganisms due to their very fine pore structure. However, water quality depends on the source water and correct use of the device. Heavily contaminated water should be avoided.
No. QuenchSea should not be used with water contaminated by fuel, oil, solvents, pesticides, industrial chemicals or other hazardous substances. Reverse osmosis is designed mainly to remove salts, minerals and many biological contaminants, but it is not a guarantee against all chemical pollution.
Seawater is drawn into the unit, passed through pre-filtration, and then pushed by hand pressure through a reverse osmosis membrane. Fresh water exits one outlet, while concentrated salty brine is discharged separately.
